Possible endemic species:  Oriole,  Spindalis, Vireo, Tody, Woodpecker, Bullfinch, Lizard Cuckoo, Flycatcher, Green
Mango, Emerald.  Plus Antillean Euphonia, Plain Pigeon, and many others.
If you are short of time while in San Juan, Caguas is one of
the possible alternatives you should consider, specially for
late arrivals and/or cruise ship passengers.

Birding trips starts in San Juan at 2:00 PM (pick-up at hotel
or port).  A 30 minute drive takes us to the town of Caguas,
located in the Central/Eastern region of Puerto Rico.  

We will be looking for approximately ten endemic species,
plus Antillean/Caribbean specialties, including the Plain
Pigeon.  Depending on the season, we will be returning to
your hotel or cruise ship at 6:30 PM; your ship should be
leaving after 9:00 PM to be able book this birding trip.

All birding trips are weather permissible. especially during the Summer--Sahara dust, Monserrat Volcano ashes,
high concentration of mold, and/or Hurricane Season.
